Central Registry Clearance

The Child Care Background Check (CCBC) Unit, within the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP), has launched a new fully online process for obtaining a Central Registry clearance. This clearance is required for all Summer Games Camp staff who are 21 years of age or older. The only way to obtain this clearance is for you to request this clearance through their online system.

Please keep in mind that another individual is not able to submit this request on your behalf. You will be required to complete this request on your own.

The process is simple, free, and quick—most results are available within 5 business days.

To get started:

  1. Visit michigan.gov/ccbc-camps.
  2. Create a new account.
  3. Log in and submit a Central Registry clearance request.

Be sure to reference the step-by-step help guide when you submit your application for your Central Registry clearance to make this process as simple as possible.

Please note: Summer Games Camp is required to keep a copy of your Central Registry clearance on file. Please share the results via email by sending them to admin@summergamescamp.org as soon as possible. You can do this by clicking the “Share” button when reviewing your results in your account on the CCBC portal.
