Daily Routine at Summer Games
Here is an outline that summarizes our daily schedule for an average day of camp.
Morning Calisthenics:
There is no better way to start the day than with some heart-pumping exercises to get the blood flowing.
Breakfast:
It’s time to gather in the dining hall to say grace and eat breakfast.
Morning Watch:
Daily devotionals are a great way to immerse ourselves in the word of God.
Games:
After daily devotionals have completed, we set off to the games field to partake in a variety of games.
Morning Worship:
We all gather in the Tabernacle to sing praise, followed by a talk from one of our spiritual directors.
Lunch:
It is time to say grace and refuel in the dining hall.
Flat On Back (F.O.B.):
This is a time where campers return to their cabins to lay flat on their bunks. Flat On Back is where we are quiet, so we can recharge, read a book, do a craft, or write letters to send home.
Water Activities:
After our quick recharge, it’s time to head off to water activities! This could be at the pool or on the river in a tube or a canoe.
Cabin Time:
This is a time where the campers get to return to their cabins, clean up and spend time with their cabin.
Dinner:
We return to the dining hall once again to say grace and eat another meal.
Evening Activity:
Every evening the campers partake in a different activity every evening, such as scavenger hunts, the Variety Show, or musical performances from praise bands.
Evening Worship:
We all gather in the Tabernacle once again to sing praise, followed by another talk from one of our spiritual deans.
The final night at camp, evening worship is concluded with a re-enactment of the Crucifixion after the sun has gone down.
Lights Out:
Campers return to their cabins where they get ready for bed and share a discussion reflecting on events of the day and evening worship.
